HC Animal Chiropractics is owned and run by Holly Clarke. A fully qualified McTimoney Veterinary Chiropractor, with a passion for working and helping animals reach their full potential and maintain optimal health. With over 10 years' experience working in the equine industry, ranging from riding schools to elite performance horses, horses are a stable part of Holly’s life.

After achieving triple distinction*  in Equine Management at Plumpton College, Holly relocated from her home town in East Sussex to study at Writtle University College in Essex. Here she successfully obtained her Bachelor (Honours) Degree in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, achieving a 2:1. During this time she also completed the Equinology Equine Body Worker course. But that wasn’t enough for Holly. With a desire to extend her skills further she applied for the Masters degree in Animal Manipulation at the McTimoney College of Chiropractics. Not only did this broaden her knowledge, it also opened her horizons to being able to treat a variety of animals, not just horses!

Over the years, Holly has developed her knowledge of animal anatomy, expanding her understanding in animal biomechanics, chiropractic philosophy and animal behaviour. She also evolved her awareness of predisposed pathologies and advanced her therapeutic techniques.

Behind the scenes...

Holly enjoys socialising with friends or exploring the countryside with the dogs, as well as spending time with her wonderful little horse, Cynthia. Cynthia is the greatest testimony to Holly's work and her inspiration throughout. In recent years she’s had various health issues but under Holly's careful management and strict rehabilitation, she bounced back miraculously. Although the pair have stepped away from the competition world, the fun has never stopped.

For many years Holly has worked as a groom. Once settled in Essex, Holly secured herself a weekend position at Team Hayler. This position swiftly progressed and it wasn't long before Holly was a full-time member of the home team whilst completing her studies at Writtle. She was responsible for ensuring the management of these elite dressage horses was of the highest standard. Holly even helped the team to relocate to North Yorkshire, but had to return to Essex to finish her Bachelors degree. After this, she worked on a large full-livery yard before establishing her own freelance groom business. During this time, Holly has continued to build her clientele. From which, HC Animal Chiropractics would later be born...

Since finishing her Masters Degree, Holly fulfilled a life-long dream of working on a horseback safari in South Africa. Without hesitation, she jetted off at the end of January 2023 until May, on what would be the experience of a lifetime.
